Ice Cream Social and Church Cleanup

We hope you can all make it this Sunday at 4:00pm at First United Methodist Irving to enjoy some ice cream as we close out this summer!  We will take a few minutes first to do a quick service project by cleaning the church that always graciously allows us to use their building.  It won’t take long with several helping hands.  Then we will stick around and enjoy some ice cream and games together.

Den leaders please remember to bring an ice cream topping and anyone feel free to bring a fun game to play.  The pack will be supplying the ice cream.  We hope you can join us this Sunday!!

Webelos Invitation to Burgers Lake with Troop 508

WEBELOS Families!

Pack 771 Webelos families are invited to this event: Here is some more information of the Burgers Lake Family Picnic hosted by Troop 508.

This Saturday, 8/16, Troop 508 will be going to Burgers lake in Ft Worth. Come on out and enjoy a cool spring fed lake. The cost is $9 per person (pay Troop member Bill Brasch at the event) and the troop will be bringing the food. Just RSVP to Blainesig@juno.com to let Blaine know you are coming. As you enter the gate, let the staff know you are with Troop 508 (do not pay at the gate). We will be there from around 10am but it is a come and go event. It is a good idea to bring a camp chair. This also counts towards the arrow of light requirement to attend an outdoor event with a Troop.

Airhogs Sleepover and Game money due Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Aug 1st, is the last day to pay for the Airhogs game at Quik Trip Park in Grand Prairie on Aug. 9th!

Please drop your payment by Kevin Chapman’s home, there is an envelope on the door that you can put your envelope in. Your envelope needs to include the scouts name, den #, and how many tickets you need (he needs to know if you are just going to the game ($7.00 per person) or for the sleepover ($12.00 per person)).

As far as what you can bring …for the sleepover : blanket, sleeping bag, or cot for sleeping. Tents can be used but no stakes. Ice chest can be taken in after the game with food and beverages (no alcohol). Most boys bring baseball gloves, soccer balls, footballs, or some other games to play. If you want to go swimming bring their swimsuits. The only rule is that the tents have no stakes.

It’s going to be a great time and we hope you can all make it.

Thanks,
Staci
PR Chair

You will need everything the boys will need. Adults may swim if you want to swim.
I recommend a bucket or tub for your stuff at the campsite as well.
A spray bottle to spray the boys with as needed for a pick up or to get their attention.
A fanny pack or backpack to carry snacks, first aid kit, extra water, etc.
Cup with handle and carbineer or a water bottle or small container for you to drink water (we need more than the boys to stay hydrated).
Your camera or phone with a camera.
Some toilet paper or a small packet of tissue.
Hand sanitizer for when you are snacking or if you are using the latrines for bathroom breaks.
Camp chair or folding chair for you to sit on at the campsite.
Extra gallon ziplocs to carry boys awards or for clothes
sharpie marker, sanitizer,

FYI the water sprinklers at camp do not spray clean water, so advise your child to not play in it!!

All parents are welcome to attend lunch on Parents’ Day at camp on Friday from 12:05-12:55. Check in at the Day Camp Headquarters for a Visitor pass.

See you all Monday morning!
